General Info and Registration Question
What do you do in the event of severe weather?
We strive to be outdoors as much as possible through all seasons, but Mother Nature does at times cause us to utilize backup indoor spaces. Our Forest School programs utilize the Jester Park Nature Center, Valley Junction Activities Center, and MidAmerican RecPlex when needing to be indoors. Decisions are made no less than 2 hours before class.

Depending on location our summer camps may already have a reservation for an indoor spot (Jay Spence Shelter at Greenwood, Walnut Woods Lodge at Walnut Woods). For camps that do not have an indoor location on site we may cancel class for that day and reschedule later in the week for our 2-4 day camps, reserving Friday as weather make-up. If a class cannot be rescheduled families will be refunded for that missed day of camp.
How do I change my registration to a different day or program?
Please email hello@muddybootsforestcamp.org with the program you are in, and what you would like to switch to so we can check if there is room and if there is a difference in enrollment cost.

We can manually move your child to a different roster in Sawyer, and either charge if there is a balance due after switching, or refund the difference between program costs.
How do I cancel my registration?
Please email your program leader or hello@muddybootsforestcamp.org with the program you are in as soon as you know it no longer works in your schedule or if something comes up.

Due to the cost of deposits, reservations, and materials purchased ahead of the event, we are not able to refund cancellations with less than 48 hours notice, but will provide credit toward another MBFC special event in the same amount.

Cancellations made with more than 48 hours notice will receive a full refund of the registration price. Sawyer processes refunds within 10 business days, but for many families it arrives back on their card within a few days.
I didn't receive a confirmation but my card was charged.
Double check your email in your Sawyer profile for any typos. We also receive a copy of each order in Sawyer and can forward that information to you.
I am on a waitlist, when will I know if a spot opens up?
We collect waitlisted names on a rolling basis, and when a spot opens up we will reach out to families in the order that they registered.​
