At Muddy Boots we value the rich experiences that come from being outdoors— hiking, climbing, jumping in puddles, turning over logs and gazing up at the trees. • Support outdoor/environmental activities such as hiking, building shelters, and other similar activities.

  • Spend considerable time with children outdoors, in all weather conditions (up to 3.5 hours).

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

  • Experience with hiking and outdoor activities.

  • Interest in education, specifically outdoor/environmental education or working with young children.

  • Ability to spend a considerable time on your feet and lift up to 40 lbs.

  • Consistent availability on Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:00am-12:30pm, with holiday breaks built in to the forest school schedule.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly; $18/hr; paid bi-weekly

  • Paid training

  • Enrollment opportunity for own children of forest school age to attend.

  • $100 annual allowance for upgrading clothing/gear for working outdoors.
